Right. This seems important. What is Register? This is an interesting question because Register is very complex and capable. However, it works seamlessly with the existing Localist platform so it's intuitive and simple to understand. For an end user, it's going to be a simpler process than many registration tools they have used in the past because the registration process occurs within the event landing page. This is a much better experience than being thrown to a 3rd party website to complete event registration. For the admin, Register is going to live within the 'adding an event' page. That's about it.
Yes. We could describe the 'what' by just going through a comprehensive checklist. Is it responsive, secure, compliant and capable of complex accounting and payouts etc? The answer is a 'yes' for all of those by the way. However, we believe the best way to describe the 'what' behind Register is by looking at the end result, an event landing page that requires ticketing or registration. At the end of the day, this is what matters to the success of the event and the hosting organization.
As you can see from the image above, Register lives right next to the event details section of the landing page. The admin is able to select between multiple ticket types, promo codes, ticket groups etc. This allows Register to cover just about every event from free to paid.
From there, it's simply a matter of completing the registration process and purchasing the ticket. All of which occurs in this interface (pictured to the right). Event admins can choose to ask survey questions and all payment is handled through a PCI-DSS 3.2 Level 1 compliant payment processing system.
After purchase/registration is complete, event attendees are sent a confirmation from which mobile check-in can be utilized.
