Born in Cape Town, South Africa, progressive singer/songwriter Yoav was interested in music from a young age. An avid songwriter by his teens, Yoav dropped out of college and spent a year in London shopping a demo of his songs around. Yoav became increasingly influenced by electronic music and the club/dance culture that surrounded it. Looking to infuse his more traditional singer/songwriter compositions with this electronic vibe, Yoav discovered a more rhythmic, percussive way of playing the guitar.
