Third in the Red Emma's Popular Education Project (PEP) Talks series is an evening of discussion about the future of the labor movement in the US. We'll be joined by Bill Fletcher Jr., co-author with Fernando Gapasin of the new book, Solidarity Divided: The Crisis in Organized Labor and a New Path Toward Social Justice. The book takes a searing look at the recent history of labor in the US, charting the way that neoliberalism caught the union movement off guard, and argues for a new way forward for the labor movement, one which goes beyond reshuffling bureaucrats and puts social justice for the working class back on the table.
