Box Office Poison Launched in 1993 Pioneering a new genre of music called 'Pop Noir'. It has a Jazz/Punk attitdude, a Classical Ambience, Hypnotic grooves, Sexy or Gritty Lyrics and a filmic feel. It went on to influnce bands like Mono and Goldfrapp to name but a few. The instrumentation of the band is Punk Cello, Classical Cello, Sax, Harpsicord, Koto, Spanish Trumpet, bass, Multiple Percussion and Female vocals.
