It took me three and a half years of living in Baltimore to get here, and I wish it hadn't. I loved the house that's part of the museum and plan on going back to catch more of what I missed. Fridays at the Walters are fun events, too.
I can't believe it took me this long to check out the Walters! The "house" that is attached to the building is pretty incredible. The former owner donated it to the museum in his will. They graciously turned it into a museum in itself. Incredible stuff.
1st Fridays are aways a blast!
Great art, and great music to boot. What more could you want? The special exhibit on impressionists repeating each other was quite interesting and well worth the price of admission: free. Parking right across the street was only $8 for the entire night, and you're within walking distance of some of Baltimore's best restaurants after you finish learning about art.
