A great spot to see local and up-and-coming bands, hip hop groups... hell, anything. The Ottobar's atmosphere often transcends categories.
Great old-school club.
Nice atmosphere, but I always seem to run into someone I don't really want to...
I missed the supposedly good local band, The Thrushes (?). The second band was not impressive at all. I normally don't listen to lyrics, but I couldn't ignore how much the singer was a hater. No, literally, "Don't you know how much I hate you?" and "I just don't care anymore" and "Help me." Anyway, the Raveonettes were hot. The crowd at Ottobar loved them. Not sure why I thought the place was stuffy tonight. Everyone just kinda stood there, and that is weird to me. The crowd was mixed in age, which is nice. I think I poked some guy behind me in the eye throwing my hands up. Okay, so, yay Raveonettes, and eh Ottobar.

Located on Howard Street between 25th and 26th streets.
Parking is usually available on the surrounding streets, and in the fenced-in area immediately after the club is their private lot, the alley is for bands, and be careful!
