I bootlegged this for drum loops. unfortunately, only about 1/8 of the show was marching music. There was a lot of "greatest hits of the 60's, 70's, and 80's" in there.
Just saw Emmylou Harris, Patty Griffin and Buddy Miller play in a round on stage -- a venue so huge and gorgeous became incredibly intimate.
I saw Steve Forbes speak about the economic crisis. Ridiculously insightful. He made it sound like we aren't as screwed as the media is saying.
During the concert the BSO announced one of its musicians is retiring after 48 years in the orchestra. 48 YEARS! Incredible. Oh, the concert was amazing, too. The BSO is super talented and the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall is top notch. Great way to spend an evening!

This was only a short engagement, but I highly recommend seeing the Map of Asia performed if you ever get a chance. The background visuals and the orchestra "answering" the music from China was brilliant.
Wow. Just wow.

I was convinced that Steve Forbes' talk would be the most inspiring of all the speakers in the series. I was wrong.
Anna Quindlen's thought provoking talk made me rethink a lot of issues I haven't considered in a while.
