The Maritime Park is a national heritage site that highlights African American maritime history, the saga of Frederick Douglass' life in Baltimore as an enslaved child and young man. It also covers the founding of the Chesapeake Marine Railway and Dry Dock Company as well as the establishment of the African American community in Baltimore during the 1800's.

Detailed Directions: I-95 South to Keith Ave. (last exit before tunnel), turn right at end of ramp. Stay on Keith Ave for 1 block and beaqr right onto Clinton St. (Clinton St. is not marked, but all traffic bears right). Go to first light at Boston St. and turn left. Go to second light and turn left onto Aliceanna St. (restaurant looks like a ship at intersection). Go 7 or 8 blocks to Caroline St. and turn left. Living Classrooms East Harbor Campus will be on the right, continue straight down Caroline Street and the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park Campus will be on the right.
