This was not my favorite Ted Leo show of the four I've been to. He was solo and kept losing momentum between songs. But I totally dug the Gspot and still love TL as much as before, so all in all, good night.

Gspot is the best. Amazing venue, and I plan to attend many more events here. The party itself? Pretty lame, especially when the camera crew never showed up. Still, the free pizza was good.

Pretty cool (not temperature-wise, it was smoldering inside) high quality free pizza not from a national chain, high quality cake made from nationally recognized caquiers (i coined that term thank you very much) and music which included The Descendents and The Buzzcocks. Overall not a bad couple of hours.

This show was melodramatic all around, and I liked it. Diapensia is another good local band that's more folk bluegrass. Papercuts was more soft indie, so a quicker tempo. Beach House, sexy organ and alto-hypnotic voice. Everyone in my area of the crowd was feelin it. I wish Gspot had a more elevated stage but luckily a few Scandinavians let us in front of them.

This was a pretty school spot! Its in a warehouse down on Falls RD, right near the new and growing Clipper Mill area. Google provided unclear directions but I enjoyed the bluegrass, wistful rock and air-y guitar. BYOB, diverse crowd, and reasonable cover fees beg for return visits.
