After a brief stint as "the funk box," (an entirely appalling name,) the 8 x 10 has returned, an established venue for Funk, Folk, Blues and Rock styles. Touted as "the only live music venue in Federal Hill," this venue is surprisingly spacious.
Detailed Directions: To get to Federal Hill, take Light street south.
Stay in the middle lane, and when the lanes fork, stay STRAIGHT. Turn RIGHT at Cross St, which has a Bank of America on the corner, just after the 7-11. The Bar will be on your right.
Parking: Street parking only, but meters end at 6pm.

ALWAYS a good time! I hate how Localist labels this place as a nightclub, 'cause it's not. What is it? I don't know...it's a bar that has an intimate stage and a dance floor. But it's not a club. It's not *that* kind of crowd and it's not pretentious. It's just good times with jam bands. Lotta white people...I hate being the only Asian there.

Awesome as always. Had friends in town who've never experienced a show. They left big fans!!!

I played here when it was originally the 8x10 and the stage couldn't even fit a drum set on it, so they had an upper platform built like 5 feet ABOVE the stage for the drum kit. Then I played here when it was the funk box, and they said I couldn't play there any more because I was spitting water and it could have "damaged the precious equipment." Thats not rock and roll as it ought to be!

I went and saw the All Mighty Senators here a long time ago. It's a great venue as it allows you to get really close to the performers. As for the crowd... meh... hipsters.
