Why does Localist cost what it does?

Localist isn't just calendar software. Localist is event marketing software. It's designed to market your organization using a calendar as its medium. It also happens to be the best tool for organizing thousands of events. When you look at Localist through that prism, it's actually one of the most inexpensive ways to spread brand awareness compared to other initiatives like pay-per-click advertising and email campaigns.

Do I need to pay for a year up-front?

Yes. Localist contracts are billed annually by default. We've found that customers who can commit to a full year of using Localist have the most successful calendars.

Do I need another web host?

No. All Localist plans include our fully-managed cloud hosting, ensuring your calendar remains available at all times.

Can I download Localist?

We do not have plans to make a downloadable version, but Localist does provide many standard methods for exporting your data.

Are there any additional required fees?

All plans have a required one-time setup & onboarding fee. Our team works directly with you to ensure you have everything you need to get your calendar up and running.

Do I get a refund if I cancel early?

Because of how Localist allocates resources for your calendar, it's not possible to issue refunds due to cancellation.

What is an "admin"?

An admin is any user who has administrative access to the calendar. All Localist plans allow for an unlimited amount of normal users to login and interact with the calendar. There is just a limitation on administrative users.

How do I sign up?

You start with a free trial, which covers all the available Localist features. We don't collect payment until you've determined Localist is the right product for you.

How do I cancel service?

Click the "Cancel Subscription" button on your billing page. Our support team will take care of the rest.

Can I switch plans?

Yes. You can begin an upgrade by contacting our support team. When changing your subscription, your current payment will be prorated.

How does a free trial work?

Free trials provide you with a full version of an Enterprise plan for fourteen days. You'll find that the trial period does impose a few temporary limits on the software. Otherwise, you get the full experience of the depth and breadth of the Localist software, so you know exactly what you're getting when you become a Localist customer.
